Well, it's Friday. Had lunch with my knitting buddies today....Mary, Shannon and Debra. An hour goes by so fast. We all showed off all the goodies we were making. Shannon finished her beautiful scarf. Debra is still working on her shawl (LOL, don't remember if that is what it is) and Mary is making soap holders.

On the work front, I have a new attorney to work for (along with the rest). He just moved here from Colorado. Seems like an easy person to work for.

Well, not much else is going on now (my life is so un-exciting)....so I better get back to work. Only a few more hours and it is the weekend.

It's Friday (yeah). If it just weren't so darn hot out. I'm ready for winter.

Well, today is big day for me at work. I am celebrating my 20th anniversary with Texas Instruments. Didn't think I would EVER stay at one place that long. But here I am. And I still love it. One of my bosses gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers with a mylar balloon. Really nice!!

So, I was asked about the picture as the top of my blog. It is all my brothers and sisters and our spouses at my daughter's wedding in 2004 (LOL, yes it is that old).

In the back row from the left are my brother Jim (he's the oldest), then Ed, my husband, Charlie, my brother-in-law, Al, and my brother, George.

In the front is my sisters-in-law, Mary Lou and Paula; of course that is me in the middle, then my sister, Mary and Anita (my brother, George's friend).

Well, it's hump day...meaning only two more days of work and then the weekend. It has been a pretty uneventful week. It's hot here in Dallas. I'm truly ready for winter...or at least fall. A heat index of 110 degrees is NOT for me.

So, one of my bosses is off to India for 10 days (business) and the other one just got back from vacationing in New England. Rumor has it that I may get another boss soon. He will be starting at TI the week of the 27th of July. Should be interesting.

Oh yeah, forgot to tell everyone, I had a nice surprise over the weekend. Got a voice mail that I had a Fed Ex package. Not expecting anything, I was a little apprehensivve about signing for it (yeah, it was one of those that you required the addressee's signature). But I went on Saturday to pick it up. I opened the envelope and found a nice letter from AAA Texas. I had signed up to get a free quote on auto insurance at the Cup race in April. Anyways, they were thanking me with the letter and two tickets to the NASCAR Nationwide race at Texas Motor Speedway this coming November (if any of you don't know, I'm a big NASCAR fan). Looking forward to that. Later.

Monday is almost over. We have five days of work this week (no slacking off like last week with having Monday off). Our rain has pretty much all gone away. Darn, I really enjoyed that.

Since it is Monday night, time to go home and watch the new season of "The Closer". I really do enjoy Kyra Sedgwick. And then Sasha Alexander (Kate from NCIS) and Angie Harmon (from Law and Order) are in a new show....Rizzoli and Isles. Hope it is as good as it looks.

Time to head out the door. More tomorrow, I hope. I'm going to try to figure out how to insert a picture tomorow. Night all.
Wow, life sure has changed with computers, the internet, email, etc. Guess many years ago (well, maybe NOT so many years) this would have been called a "diary" and it would have been a book with a lock and key on it (couldn't let ANYONE read your thoughts, right???)

I guess part of a growing breed. I don't consider myself old (but I'm getting there), but not a lot of my friends do this type of thing. More and more are starting to, but lots of them use a computer for as little as possible. Me??? Well, my computer and I are almost connected at the hip (yeah, I know, I am crazy....right?)
